Shellharbour mayor Marianne Saliba gave a sneak peek of the makeover on Monday, which includes a new outdoor entertainment area that includes a built-in barbeque and outdoor family play space, plus a new function space (called The Shed) overlooking golf course.
A "premium" 18-hole mini-golf course is also in the works, which is set to be complete by January next year.
Cr Saliba said the project reflected Council's vision to turn the precinct into a thriving community hub.
"The success of the business creates a revenue source for Council which helps ease pressure on rates and creates funds for projects that benefit the whole city," she said.
The Shed is expected to open on Wednesday September 2, though functions will not be held until Covid-19 restrictions are eased.
