A young man was trapped for almost an hour and transported to Wollongong Hospital with leg and facial injuries after a single vehicle accident on Calderwood Rd on Thursday night.

Ambulance, Police, Fire and Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Service crews rushed to the scene just before 10pm to find the 20 year old male trapped behind the wheel following an impact with a tree. And was thought to have multiple fractures to his legs and pelvis.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the single vehicle accident occurred around 9.45pm and the male driver was the sole occupant.
The spokesperson said the young man was trapped for a period time before being conveyed to Wollongong Hospital by ambulance.
