The Zebras announced on Tuesday afternoon that Stuart Beedie will coach their IPL side in 2021, just days after he stood down as Cringila's Premier League coach.
Beedie previously coached at Port Kembla for seven seasons, leading the club to a couple of premierships.
He will be assisted in 2021 by the club's current interim coach Rob Davies, who took over the reins when Steve Dimitrievski resigned just days out from the start of this year's IPL campaign.
Port Kembla currently sit in 10th spot on the ladder, but Davies told the Mercury last week that the Zebras were playing for more than just results this season.
"We need to focus on one game at a time and build on our performance each week. We want to remain competitive and move up the ladder," he said.
"The reality of a short season makes it difficult to turn things around. The boys are playing to restore some pride in the club and themselves."
Beedie stood down as Cringila's IPL coach on Saturday, straight after his side clinched a 3-all draw with the first-placed Wollongong United. Paul Michlmayr has taken over as the Lions head coach for the remainder of the 2020 season.
Three rounds remain until the Premier League finals get under way.
