Albion Park-Oak Flats proved no match for Kiama, falling 28-0. And while the Knights secured their fifth win of the season, the Eagles' 2020 campaign will end after next week's clash.
Knights coach Matt Clarke said the win was made possible thanks to a great defensive effort across the board.
"Defensively, I was happy with that part of the game, keeping them to nil," he said.
"We ended up with no subs, we had a few injuries there, but we scrambled for each other and worked hard."
It was an impressive return to form for the Knights following last week's loss to Shellharbour. Kiama led that game by 18-4 at half time, before the Sharks surged home to claim a 20-18 win.
"We talked about the team effort [this week]. We spoke about our effort, our enthusiasm, and to just play for the 80," Clarke said.
"We got a few niggling injuries out of that game, but we should get Tommy Harris back for the first semi. And then we should be pretty much full strength."
Eagles coach Ian Jones said it was a disappointing loss but we he was proud of his side's effort.
"I thought we responded pretty well in the second half, they played pretty fast footy in the first 40," he said.
"But we stuck to our guns in the second half and we played a bit busted, guys playing with injuries and stuff like that, but they were still turning up so you've got to be proud of them."
A silver lining for the Eagles was Blake Jones, Ian's son, played his 100th first grade game on Sunday.
"I know a couple of players and their dads have done it in the club now," Ian Jones said.
"He's in the 100 club now. Hopefully he can play a few more seasons, he's keen to go again next year."
The Eagles will cap off their season with a home game against the Gorillas next weekend.
