After gaining promotion to the Illawarra Premier League ahead of the 2020 season, the Rosellas were undefeated for the first five weeks but have dropped their past three successive games.
Bellambi fell 1-0 to Woonona on September 6 before losing 2-0 to Tarrawanna and then lost 3-2 to Wollongong United on Saturday.
Those results have seen the Rosellas drop out of the top five with two rounds remaining. But Paine believes the team's best could be yet to come this season.
"We weren't very good against Tarrawanna. Saturday was probably a bit of return to form, despite not picking up any points," the coach said. "But we've got four players to come back into the mix for next weekend so we're not done yet. We'll have a good, strong push against Bulli [on Saturday] and see where we get to."
