Kiama product, singer/songwriter Joe Mungovan is celebrating the release of his new single with a socially distant gig.

Mungovan released his new single You + Me on September 17.
He will also perform a single release show at La La La's, Wollongong on October 3.
Mungovan said the gig would feature a strictly capped number of attendees to allow social distancing.
Other measures that will be in place include the audience being seated three metres from the stage; the audience being socially distanced in seating; performers not being permitted to mingle with the audience; and performers being asked not to encourage sing-a-longs or cheering.
"I'm very excited to play live again and connect with people in the same room," Mungovan said.
"The show will be limited capacity, so it will be a very small intimate crowd and I love these type of shows.
"I've got some new songs that I'm going to be playing for the first time and that's always something that I look forward to."

You + Me was recorded at multiple home studio set-ups that Mungovan has been working out of over the past three years.
The final touches were added at Sydney studio One Flight Up with producer Tim Carr.
Last year, Mungovan toured around Germany, France and Spain in support of his single Lost Myself.
The track received airplay on both Triple J and Triple J Unearthed radio stations.
