According to police, the driver left an address at Woonona on Saturday and travelled to the Balgownie area.
Wollongong Police District duty officer Dave Williamson said the 45-year-old female was involved in at least five minor motor vehicle collisions, starting from about 12.15pm.
She was eventually stopped at Tucker Avenue, Balgownie about 1pm.
The driver underwent a roadside breath test and returned a positive reading for alcohol.
She was then arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
While there she submitted to a breath analysis test, and allegedly blew a high-range reading of 0.250.
Police say she will be charged with a number of offences, including high-range PCA, and will appear in Wollongong Local Court on November 10.
Her licence will also be suspended, pending the court outcome.
