The three-year-old took out a 2000 metre class one and maiden plate at Kembla Grange after surviving a protest for interference on second-placed Gorshin.
Price has always rated the stayer highly and he's confident Our Bambino will continue to improve as he develops.
"He's still 12 months away from being a proper horse," Price told Sky Racing. "I've always had a bit of a wrap on him, it's just him learning his trade still.
"He's definitely going to be a Saturday city horse, but we're probably not going to see that for another six months.
"I'll speak to the owner, we might even give him a little bit of time off, or we might come back here in two weeks. We'll see how he pulls up."
The race was just one of three to be run on Saturday, with high winds causing the meeting to be abandoned.
