The accident happened near Mount Murray Road on Wednesday morning.
Traffic crews and emergency services were on scene.
The truck has now been salvaged and all diversions have been lifted.
Motorists were advised to use Picton Road as an alternative, as Jamberoo Mountain Road was still closed due to a landslide at Knights Hill.
Drivers should continue to allow some extra travel time until traffic returns to normal through the area.
This diversion is suitable for all vehicles.
Motorists should expect delays and allow additional travel time.
There is no forecast when Illawarra Highway will reopen.
