A man has been stabbed in the chest following a possible domestic altercation in Mangerton on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to Myuna Way, near Johanson Crescent at about 4.30pm to reports a man was suffering from chest injuries.
On arrival, paramedics treated a 45-year-old man for a stab wound to the chest and quickly loaded him into an ambulance before taking him to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Four ambulance crews were called to the job as well as police.
A police spokeswoman confirmed a police operation is underway.
