A teenage trail bike rider was airlifted to hospital after crashing head-first into a car windscreen at Lake Heights.

The accident happened in Aitken Place around 10.40am, where an 18-year-old trail bike rider crashed into the front of a parked car.
The teen was travelling fast enough that, after hitting the car, he somersaulted over the top and landed head-first into the windscreen of a second car parked behind the first.

He then rolled off the car and onto a driveway, which is where police found him.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The officers were first on the scene and started CPR while waiting for ambulance crews to arrive.
Four crews arrived on scene and they were quickly able to start his pulse and breathing again, though he remained unconscious.
As well as head injuries, the teen also suffered a partially amputated left leg and chest injuries.
He was loaded into an ambulance and driven to Kully Bay Oval on NorthCliffe Drive at Warrawong where the Toll rescue helicopter was waiting.,
He was flown to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
