The video, posted to the Dash Cam Owners Facebook page, captured the bingle at the intersection of Masters Road and Springhill Road.
The dashcam car was stopped at the lights on Springhill Road heading north and had a perfect view for what was about to happen.
Despite the fact vehicles turning right out of Masters Road have three lanes to use, the hatchback decided to move from the left lane to the centre lane.
The only problem was, there was a dog and trailer truck already in that lane.
With nowhere to go, the truck hit the passenger side of the hatchback and pushed it at least 10 metres down the road.
When the truck stopped, the hatchback suddenly sped onto the grass median before coming to a stop metres from the traffic waiting at the lights.
