Debbie Marie Combarngo, 37, died in a frenzied attack carried out by her cousins and two family friends at a home in Wilsonton, Toowoomba, in May 2018.

The fatal blow was a 23cm wound to the left side of her chest that caused catastrophic injuries. She had also been beaten a golf club, a pipe and a hammer.

Ms Combarngo's daughter Claudia, who was pregnant at the time, and her partner, Tristan Gary Hooper, were also injured in the attack.

The accused "Wilsonton Nine" fled in a maxi taxi and were caught at a Dan Murphy's bottle shop drive-through.

Six people - Ty Peter Fing, Christine Maree Hall, Ashley Aaron Fing, Jana Leigh Hall, Joshua James Lingwoodock and Lynn Faye Jean Anderson - pleaded guilty to manslaughter and were sentenced in the Toowoomba Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Justice Peter Callaghan accepted that while the six were involved in the attack, they did not inflict the fatal blow.

Three others have been committed to stand trial charged with murder.

Ashley Aaron Fing, Jana Leigh Hall and Anderson were sentenced to five years and will be released immediately and placed on three years' probation.

Ty Peter Fing who carried a weapon to the unit was sentenced to five years jail and is eligible for immediate parole.

Lingwoodock, who was first inside the unit, was sentenced to six years and Christine Maree Hall who carried a hammer, to six-and-a-half years with both to be eligible for immediate parole.

Crown prosecutor Mark Green said the family dispute erupted after the accidental drug overdose of Michael Hall, who had been living with his cousin Ms Combarngo at the time of his death in April that year.

Two days before his funeral, family members sent messages to Claudia on social media demanding she and her mother "speak up" about Mr Hall's death "because s*** is about to get really ugly".

Nine people travelled to the Wilsonton home about 2pm on May 6 where the assault took place, and Ms Combarngo was stabbed.

"Blood was spurting and pouring from her chest, Claudia held a cloth over her mother's chest but was unable to stem the flow of blood," Mr Green told the court.

Justice Callaghan said it has been a complicated case with the people involved well known to one another and called for calm.

"It is hoped for the sake of the community, your families and for the memory of those who have died that the events with which we are concerned do not become a source of ongoing feud or further troubles of any kind," he said.

"They are owed at least that much."

Rhonda Ann Hall, Shiralee Fernando, and Rhianna Jade Fing will stand trial for murder in the Toowoomba Supreme Court at a date to be fixed.
