However, just as you think "where did the year go", the entertainment industry is finally getting into gear again bringing music to our ears across the Illawarra.
This December a slew of Australian music favourites are joining forces for the first major concert at Wollongong's headline entertainment venue since the pandemic began.
Choirboys, Radiators, Wendy Matthews, Thirsty Merc, Richard Clapton and Dragon will collectively form the Hot Summer Night concert at the WIN Entertainment Centre on December 19.
It comes as the sound of live music has begun to waft through the air, after the NSW government teamed with ARIA and others to present the Great Southern Nights concert series throughout November.
The next major festival scheduled for Wollongong will be Yours and Owls at Stuart Park with weekend and Sunday passes still available through Moshtix.
The event with headliners Tones & I, Lime Cordiale and Hockey Dad was moved from October to January 23 and 24.
Next year, larger acts like Delta Goodrem and Tina Arena have put faith in the industry and already booked the entertainment centre for large-scale gigs in April and May respectively.
Tickets for the Hot Summer Night concert will go on sale on Wednesday, November 18, at 10am, from www.ticketmaster.com.au
