Wilkshire has been appointed as the NSW coach for the game, as part of a revamped annual state series, following his period of sustained success since taking charge of the club.
The Wolves were runner-up in a Covid-19 restricted shortened NSW league season this year, only missing out on retaining the trophy by a goal difference of one to Rockdale City.
The A-League aspirants also won the 2019 National Premier Leagues club knockout series.
Its a huge honour and a great idea to have these interstate select squads recognising the players and quality from each state and their performances throughout the season," Wilkshire said.
It is also a great showcase for potential A-League players to be seen on a bigger stage such as this so I am sure the players selected will be playing at their very best to attract potential suitors."
Northern Tigers coach Jason Eagar will coach the NSW women's team.
To have a former two-time World Cup Socceroo in Luke and someone as experienced and talented as Jason in charge of our respective two state teams for this exciting new venture is something we all should be very proud of," Football NSW chief executive Stuart Hodge said.
I am confident that both teams are in good hands and we will give a good showing against our most northern neighbours and State of Origin rivals.
