NSW Ambulance paramedics were called just after 2.50pm to reports of a car into a telegraph pole on Berkeley Road.
Police, three fire brigade units and three ambulance crews were on scene.
Berkeley Road was closed for a short period to allow emergency services to extricate the woman from the car.
Reports suggest the 29-year-old female driver was trapped but conscious and breathing.
She has minor lacerations to her face and lower leg.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said the woman was being flown to Wollongong Hospital, with plans to then transport her to a Sydney hospital.
