Tougher social distancing restrictions in Wollongong are not preventing venues from laying on a festive feast this Friday.

Steamers Restaurant is still proceeding with its seven course Christmas lunch by spreading people out inside and outside the venue.
But Steamers marketing manager Belle Jarvis said there have been some cancellations.
"We have had a few people call already who have been in a hot spot and now they need to isolate," she said.
"And from others with families who are no longer able to travel from other states."
Ms Jarvis said other people on the reserve waiting list are now being contacted and offered a chance to dine out at Steamers on Christmas Day.
"We are still on for Christmas lunch because we have the inside and outside sections."
Ms Jarvis said a New Year's Eve event with a dance band planned for City Beach Function Centre will not be able to go ahead with the new regulations.
But Steamers will have acoustic live music where people can celebrate without dancing.
Headlands Hotel is still going ahead with its fourth annual Christmas Lunch on Friday.
But it will stop taking new bookings to ensure it remains under the 300 person limit.
General manager Andrew Biggs said the venue will comply with all Public Health Order guidelines and has plenty of space to spread people out.
He said traditionally most of the bookings came from Wollongong's northern coastal villages and the festive lunch was popular every year.
