She is sick and tired of those people who continue to disobey the rules and not wear masks in her car.
"They are not only putting my life at risk, but the hundreds of people I come across on any given day," Mrs Paterson said.
"I did 30 fares on [Saturday] night. It's a dam nightmare. My 5 star rating has gone to 4.94 because of policing brain dead public that think of themselves and not our community.
"I'm a share-ride, like a taxi, bus and train. Everyone must wear a mask. No debaters, just do it or next stage is lockdown. End of story. Do they want us to be like Melbourne?"
Mrs Paterson, who turns 70 this year, said a drop in her driver rating was the least of her concerns.
"I love Uber driving, taking young people out to their parties/events and at the end of the night getting them home safely to their beds. That's why I'm called 'the Uber Granny'," she said.
"I just want everyone to look after themselves and follow the rules. If we don't and continue to flaunt the rules we risk Wollongong going into lockdown like Melbourne.
"All our clubs, restaurants, cafes plus the staff will be out of work. It would be a catastrophe."
Uber's No 1 driver in Wollongong counts policemen and nurses among her 13,500 fares.
"They can't afford to get COVID, no one can afford to get it. We need to do the right thing and wear our masks," Mrs Paterson said.
"The Wollongong community is great but unfortunately it takes just one foolish person to ruin it for the whole community."
