The NBL on Tuesday afternoon released the draw for the second round, with the Hawks set to face Brisbane at Nissan Arena next Thursday.
It will be the second time that the teams will face each other in a week, with the Bullets hosting Brian Goorjian's men this Saturday for their season tip-off. In between those two games, the Hawks will take on the Taipans on Monday.
The second round will feature six games across two days, with the Wildcats and Breakers to play for the first time this season.
The reigning champions will open their season against the Phoenix at RAC Arena on January 24, while the Breakers travel to Adelaide to face the 36ers two days earlier.
The impact of COVID-19 has wreaked havoc for the delayed NBL season. The action was set to begin in late December, which was later delayed until mid-January.
"We will continue to assess the situation over the coming weeks and be guided by the advice of the states as we schedule more games as part of our rolling schedule this season," NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.
"As soon as restrictions ease, we hope to be in a position to be able to also schedule games in Victoria and New South Wales."
