The former New Zealand galloper, trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace and ridden by Brodie Loy, was middle of the field heading into the final straight but held off a strong challenge from Les Bridge's Shadow Flight to claim victory by a head in race two, the Benchmark 64 Handicap over 2400 metres.
That success continues the three-year-old colt's impressive start to his career.
After claiming his initial win in a maiden plate over 1600m at Swan Hill last November, Explosive Jack now has two victories from three starts.
At the other end of the experience scale, veteran jockey Keagan Latham enjoyed a delightful double at Kembla on Saturday.
Latham - who has had more than 1600 professional rides - partnered the Richard and Michael Freedman-trained Head On Up to victory in a 1000m maiden before saluting aboard John Thompson-trained Speedzone in a 1500m maiden.

In the remaining races on Saturday, Peter and Paul Snowden's Exoboom was super impressive in the Class One Handicap over 1500m; Tyrone Coyle's Price Aurelius saluted in the Benchmark 68 Handicap (1600m), the Jason Coyle-trained Pippali won the Maiden Plate (1300m) and Land of Valens, trained by Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou, won the final race, a Benchmark 64 Handicap (1300m).
Racing action will return to Kembla this Saturday.
