A golfer has died after he was hit by a falling tree branch on the South Coast.

Police have been told the man, aged in his 50s, was on the Mollymook golf course on Thursday afternoon with three other players when a tree branch fell and hit his head.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Clifford Close just before 3pm.
The other players aided the man until help arrived and paramedic performed CPR, but the man died at the scene.
Officers from South Coast Police District have established a crime scene, which will be examined by forensic police.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
