The A-League club has committed to training and playing all of its 2020/21 home games in Wollongong.
Now the Phoenix has partnered with the Fraternity Club. The Fairy Meadow-based club is now Wellington's official Australian Hospitality Partner for the 2020/21 A-League season.
Wellington Phoenix operation manager Shaun Gill said the Fraternity Club will be a 'home away from home' for the players this season, as well as a hub for fans to both watch the matches from and get to know the team better.
"This is a great partnership for us and the services offered by the Fraternity are valuable for our fans and players alike," Gill said.
"For our fanbase in Wollongong it's a place they can feel at home at; they can watch our away matches at their venue and can meet face-to-face with players at the post-match function after home games.
"And for our players it's a convenient one-stop shop - as athletes, they have specific food requirements which the Fraternity is able to cater for, as well as offering dedicated spaces for our physiotherapist to work and prepare the squad for upcoming matches."
Fraternity Club president Mick Cuda said this partnership was great for both clubs.
"The Frat is a big supporter of football in the Illawarra, commonly known as the home of football, so it is our pleasure to accommodate Wellington as guests of our club and our region," Cuda said.
"We are so excited that Wellington chose Wollongong as its base and their team have been professional and fantastic to work with so far. We are looking forward to a great season and quality A-League games in Wollongong."
The Phoenix next take on Newcastle at Wollongong's WIN Stadium on Sunday, January 24 from 6.05pm. Tickets available at www.ticketmaster.com.au
