Environmental services director Jessica Rippon said the free drop-off was running for five extra days, after the cancellation of September's event due to COVID-19 concerns.
"As well as providing more time to make use of the drop-off, residents can register twice during the two weeks it is running, to help manage larger loads," she said.
The drop-off allows residents who pay for waste services through their rates, to dispose of many of their larger household items.
These items include mattresses, furniture, sporting goods, lounges and rugs.
Mrs Rippon said significant work had been done to ensure the safety of residents using the free service.
"As with all our recent public events, Kiama Council has been rigorous in considering, developing and enacting COVID safety measures.
"However, if any resident remains concerned, there are options available when it comes to disposing of bulky items," she said.
Residents are encouraged to register for the Household Bulky Waste Drop off online from February 1.
