That was the over-riding message from online Mercury readers following news wearing masks in shops would no longer be mandatory from Friday.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian also announced that up to 30 people will be allowed to visit a home and a maximum of 50 people will be able to gather outside, from Friday.
The easing of restrictions' announcement came on Wednesday after NSW recorded a 10th straight day of zero locally acquired COVID-19 cases.
"The community has been outstanding in containing this outbreak. The sacrifice and efforts of everyone is why we can ease restrictions today," Ms Berejiklian said.
"We must remain vigilant - it is critical we are getting tested with the mildest of symptoms, follow the health advice and continue to be COVID-Safe right across the state."
While wearing masks will no longer be compulsory at retail shopping venues, masks will remain compulsory for front-of-house hospitality staff, on public transport, in places of worship, hairdressers, beauticians and gaming rooms.
This was welcomed by NSW Labor. However the Opposition urged the Government to implement a clearer checklist to better inform the public around restrictions and what the criteria are for either masks' continuing implementation or removal.
"There remains too much confusion in the community about what actions the Government will take in this regard, and when," Shadow Health Minister Ryan Park said.
