Long car queues have formed at a pop-up COVID testing facility in Woonona on Monday morning after a COVID case was reported in Wollongong overnight and visitors to a number of Illawarra venues were told to get tested and self-isolate.

Cars were stretched around the block at 7am, before the Woonona tent at Shamrocks Rugby Club in Ocean Park had even opened.
On Sunday night, NSW Health reported that a returned overseas traveller had tested positive to COVID-19 on day 16 after being released from hotel quarantine on day 14.
The person did not have any symptoms but underwent testing as part of the recently enhanced day-16 follow-up.
The person visited a number of venues in the northern suburbs of the Illawarra and surrounding areas, as well as a café in Brighton Le Sands in south-eastern Sydney, before they were notified of the positive result from their day-16 test.
Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed below should immediately get tested and self-isolate until further advice from NSW Health:
- Headlands Hotel, Headland Ave and Yuruga St, Austinmer: Tuesday 2 February 1pm - 3pm
- Bulli Beach Café, 68 Trinity Row, Bulli: Saturday 6 February 1.30pm - 4pm
Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed below is a casual contact who must get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative result. If any symptoms appear, get tested again:
- Mootch & Me, 313 Bay St, Brighton Le Sands: Tuesday 2 February 10.54am - 12pm
- Optus North Wollongong, 17 Flinders St, North Wollongong: Thursday 4 February 1pm - 1.15pm
- Fairy Meadow - Officeworks, 145 Princes Highway - Thursday 4 February, 3.45pm - 4.05pm and Friday 5 February, *2:10pm - 3.10pm* (Originally the time listed for Friday by NSW Health was 3pm - 3.25pm. This is incorrect and has now amended by NSW Health.)
Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed below should monitor for symptoms. If symptoms appear, please get tested:
- Woolworths, 5-9 Molloy St, Bulli: Wednesday 3 February 9.50am - 10.50am (Originally the time listed by NSW Health was 9.15am - 10am. This is incorrect and has now been amended by NSW Health.)

- Thirroul Beach: Wednesday 3 February 3pm - 4.30pm

- Figtree Grove Shopping Centre (in particular Australia Post, Kmart, Blooms The Chemist and Subway), 19 Princes Hwy, Figtree: Thursday 4 February 2pm - 3.30pm
- Fedora Pasta Factory, 10 Daisy St, Fairy Meadow: Friday 5 February 3.30pm - 3.35pm
