The Church of the Clitori's Rituals of Love - Valentine's Service is a mix of comedy and cabaret, which uses the concept of worship of the clitoris as a vehicle to explore such topics as female sexuality, the history of goddesses in different cultures, and the anatomy and science of the clitoris.
The 'High Priestess' of the church said the show also included "instructions on interaction", along with frequent reminders about consent.
The show features a 'Holy Trinity' comprised of the High Priestess and two others, 'Labia Minora' and 'Labia Majora', as well as the 'Master of his Organ'.
"It's very joyous... That kind of joy and laughter opens up the whole topic," the artist playing the High Priestess told the Illawarra Mercury.
The show is performed and produced by Illawarra artists.
The High Priestess said the show had been performed before, but this was its first time in a theatre.
Rituals of Love is on at the Phoenix Theatre in Coniston on the evenings of Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13.
