A free shuttle bus will run between the Historical Aircraft Restoration Museum in Albion Park and an awaiting steam train at the nearest station to take patrons to the Illawarra Light Rail Museum.
It will be the Light Rail Museum's first "steaming" event for the year, with visitors able to ride rusty rails into railway yesteryear and travel around a bushland setting in historic passenger carriages as well as riding on a miniature train.
At HARS, volunteer guides will be on hand to show visitors around almost 50 aircraft of significance to Australian history.
The bus will transfer visitors between the museums and also return passengers to re-join their train for return ride home.
