A motorcyclist in his 20s has died after hitting a power pole in Cringila on Sunday morning.

Police said the man was riding his bike south along Lake Avenue at Cringila at around 3.30am when he failed to negotiate a bend.
The motorcyclist left the road and crashed into the power pole.
Ambulance and police were called to Lake Avenue and paramedics worked to revive the rider.
However, he died at the scene.
Investigations into the crash are continuing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
