A 53-year-old man was expected to undergo surgery on Tuesday having suffered stab wounds to the chest and lacerations to the head overnight.
About 12.45am on Tuesday, a 27-year-old man and 22-year-old woman attended a caravan park on Junction Road, Barrack Point.
It is alleged they entered a caravan and a dispute over access to a music streaming service ensued with the older man, who was known to them.
As the 53-year-old tried to push the pair out of the caravan, he was allegedly hit over the head with a glass bottle more than once.
The younger man is accused of then stabbing the man in the chest with a knife.
Other residents intervened and one took the knife from the alleged attacker, before they aided the injured man.
The man and woman then got in their vehicle, but the woman allegedly crashed the vehicle into a boom gate.
Police attended the caravan park shortly afterwards and established a crime scene.
They breath-tested the woman at the scene and arrested both her and her co-accused.
The pair were taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where the woman returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.19.
She was charged with aggravated entering a dwelling with intent and using corporal violence, reckless wounding in company, and driving with high range PCA.
