Lot sizes range from 234sqm to 328sqm, with prices expected to range between $990,000 and $1,450,000.

The Seaboard release, which will be sold off-the-plan via online ballot on April 8, includes 15 four and five-bedroom homes in seven different double-storey floor plans.

Located along the Promontory Drive with rear access from Seaboard Way and Cay Lane, the 15 new homes are 120 metres from the marina's edge.

Six homes in the new release feature four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a detached double garage.

For people looking for more space, there are three five-bedroom homes available, featuring three bathrooms, an attached double garage, kids' retreat, a master bedroom with walk-in robe and ensuite bathroom, as well as a plunge pool and garden.

Simone Dyer, development director Shell Cove, Frasers Property Australia said the release has been brought forward to meet strong demand.

"Almost three decades in the making, The Waterfront, Shell Cove is truly becoming a reality," Ms Dyer said.

"With the Shellharbour Marina, Waterfront tavern and dining precinct all opening by September this year, the benefits and convenience of the harbourfront lifestyle are becoming more evident every day.

"Given the location and variety of floor plans in the Seaboard release, there are options to suit downsizers, families, as well as Sydney buyers looking for a sea change.

"Like previous releases, we're anticipating very strong demand."

Last week, Shellharbour City Council and Frasers Property Australia began the process of opening the new boat harbour to the sea.

Starting last week and continuing over the next five to seven weeks, an excavator will remove the temporary sand bund that has held the harbour and the ocean apart while a water quality testing program is completed.
