The singing, dancing, and performance extravaganza that is the Wollongong Eisteddfod has returned after a year of nothing, with registrations closing soon.

The general sections close on April 1 and dance sections close on April 9.
President Tony Purdon said the only changes to the way the performing arts competition will run is the use of QR codes, sanitisation and other COVID-safety measures such as parents not being allowed to enter backstage.
"I think people are still a little wary of coming - like wind instrument players and vocalists - but the dancers are raring to go, they're chomping at the bit," Mr Purdon said.
The Wollongong Esiteddfod is in its 127th year, with the not-for-profit organisation encouraging the participation of young emerging individual and group performers and to provide professional assessment of their performances by qualified adjudicators.
Competition will commence on May 29.
