Police are appealing for information after a child was allegedly approached by a stranger in Wollongong.

The 12-year-old girl was allegedly approached by a man at a bus stop near the intersection of Crown and Harbour Streets at about 9.30am on February 5.
The girl left the area and officers from Wollongong Police District were later notified. Police have not provided any further details of the alleged encounter.
With police inquiries continuing, officers from Wollongong Police District have now released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 35-45, about 175-180cm tall, with a large build.
