Ceccoli will step into the role ahead of Albion Park's round three clash with Port Kembla at Wetherall Park on Sunday.
The 46-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the club, with his playing career having spanned more than two decades, starting in the mid-1990s with the Wollongong Wolves. He went onto represent three A-League clubs and played six games for the Socceroos.
Most recently, he played for Corrimal in the IPL, with highlights including their 2019 grand final win, but had trouble getting on the field last season due to a calcarine bursitis on his heel.
Ceccoli is expected to have his first training session with the White Eagles on Tuesday night.
It has been a busy 24 hours for the club, who announced they had parted ways with Birkin and Bishop on Sunday morning following the side's 1-1 draw with Bellambi. That result followed a dour 1-0 win over Cringila to kick off their campaign last weekend.
More to come.
