Bursting between horses, Berry ran down the well-fancied Crystal Bound in the final strides, a reward for patience for Kembla Grange trainers Robert and Luke Price after missing out on the Golden Slipper.

"Outstanding result, it's a filly we've had a lot of time for, for a long time," Luke Price told Sky Racing.

Berry said he had maintained a high opinion of the two-year-old filly, after riding her in the build-up to her original target, the Slipper.

"Full credit to the team, they could have gone to the Slipper, but they decided to wait, give her a bit of a break and I was just rapt for them," he said.

"I went down and trialled her a week-and-a-half ago, there was a few other offers I had in this race, but I just really like this filly.

"There's something about her, she's got a great attitude and I learned a lot about her from her last start, I tried to come around them and make that long run and my run ended at the 150.

"So I knew she had a good turn of foot, but it's only very short lived and that worked in our favour today."

The Prices also finished third in the Provincial Championships final with Liveinthefastlane.

In a superb day for Kembla Grange trainers, Kerry Parker's Group 1-winning gelding Think It Over was outstanding in defeat behind superstars Addeybb and Verry Elleegant in the 2000m Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Saturday.

Unable to find clear air in the straight, Think It Over chased Addeybb to within 1.5 lengths, to be fourth, just edged out of the placings by a very game Dalasan.
