Seniors got their groove on in Berkeley on Tuesday as part of the annual NSW Seniors Festival.

'Zumba in the Park' was a joint initiative of Multicultural Communities Council Illawarra (MCCI) and Berkeley Neighbourhood centre to celebrate the festival, which runs from April 13-24 and is supported by Multicultural NSW.
"This is probably Wollongong's largest international Seniors Festival event, with older people from all over the world coming together with for some light and fun workout in the park," organisers said.
Giulia Iacovelli said she loved every minute of Zumba in the Park.
"I've always loved music and dancing," she said.
"Usually we do exercise at the Berkeley Community Centre.
"That stopped due to COVID, but I still do my exercises at home."
Mrs Iacovelli said she had always loved living an active lifestyle, from tennis to dance.
Aged 79 she has no plans to slow down.
"I stopped playing tennis three years ago after I had my left knee replaced and I miss it so much," she said.
"It's a social thing. Exercise gives me a lot of energy, I'm usually a happy person and I feel stronger and I feel more healthy.
"The only way to make sure you do it is thinking you want to get better and do the best for your life and health."
Inspired by Zumba in the Park, Mrs Iacovelli said her bingo group of 15 women decided to add in a workout before bingo from next week.
"It was beautiful, I felt so good," she said.
