As heavy rains continue to fall throughout the Illawarra, there are a series of weather warnings in place for the region.

However, it appears those weekend plans could still be a go, with conditions expected to ease.
In the 24 hours to 9am on Thursday, Nowra had 113mm of rainfall, Shellharbour Airport had 54mm, and Port Kembla 35mm.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, as of Thursday morning there is a severe weather warning in place for heavy rainfall for the Illawarra and South Coast.
The BOM report says there will be heavy rain and gusty winds over the South Coast, ranges and Illawarra continuing through Thursday.
A low pressure system has developed within a deep coastal trough off the northern NSW coast.
Heavy rainfall which may lead to flash flooding is expected to continue over the South Coast, Illawarra and adjacent ranges. Rainfall rates are expected to ease Thursday evening.
According to the BOM, heavy rainfall will increase the risk of landslips and create hazardous driving conditions over this period.
Thunderstorms are also expected, and may produce locally heavy rainfall.
Locations which may be affected include Wollongong, Nowra, Bowral, Batemans Bay, Bega and Moruya Heads.
BOM meteorologist Helen Reid said they were expecting the rainfall to continue in the region on Thursday, albeit likely not as heavy as on Wednesday.
She said some parts of the Illawarra could receive 30mm to 40mm of rain on Thursday, with some possibly getting a little more.
"The low pressure system driving everything is still in its development phase, and still bringing in a fair bit of rainfall for the South Coast," she said.
"It's going to move away reasonably quickly, so tomorrow we're thinking it's only going to be maybe up to 15-20mm through that part of the world.
"And Saturday, it's looking like we're not expecting any rainfall at all.
"Mother's Day, there might just be a hint of a shower."
Meanwhile, surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming.
A hazardous surf warning is in place for Thursday and Friday for the Illawarra Coast, Batemans Coast and Eden Coast.
NSW Police Force, Marine Area Command have advised that people should consider staying out of the water and avoid walking near surf-exposed areas.
Rock fishers should avoid coastal rock platforms exposed to the ocean and seek a safe location that is sheltered from the surf.
Boaters already on the water should carry the appropriate safety equipment and wear a lifejacket.
A marine wind warning has also been issued.
The strong wind warning is for the following areas: Sydney Enclosed Waters, Coffs Coast, Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast, Illawarra Coast and Batemans Coast.
Finally, the BOM has also provided a warning to sheep graziers for the Illawarra, South Coast, Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains districts.
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and southeasterly winds are expected during Thursday.
Areas likely to be affected include parts of the South Coast, Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts.
There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
