Football South Coast announced on Saturday that the round seven clash at Ocean Park had been called off, following a field inspection. It was a set to be an intriguing battle between last year's league champions and an IPL side that remains unbeaten in 2021.
However, it's not all bad news for fans of both clubs, with Woonona and Olympic agreeing to instead play their Bert Bampton Cup clash at PCYC on Sunday afternoon.
Ongoing rain has wreaked havoc for FSC in the lead-up to this weekend's Premier League round. The Sharks versus Olympic clash is the second game to be canned, after Bellambi's match with Cringila at Elizabeth Park was called off on Friday.
At this stage, the Mercury understands all other IPL games will go ahead as planned this weekend.
