The Flame announced they had parted ways with Kulcsar ahead of Saturday night's clash with Nepean FC in St Marys.
Jones, who has also previously coached the Flame's Youth Grade side, said he was delighted to step into the first grade role.
"We've got eight games left, so the main objective is to get a smile on everyone's face and get us playing a positive brand of football. And that's through changing a few little things with structures," he said. "But I'm very ambitious myself, so I've set targets and we're going to give it a red-hot crack to finish off the season.
"George has laid some good foundations, it's just a matter that the club decided to move in a new direction. And it's about making a few tweaks here and there, nothing major. It's about bringing the boys together and trying to get their confidence up."
