The athletes have been waiting two years for their chance to compete against the country's best, with COVID-19 leading to the cancellation of last year's titles.
The event was back in 2021, with competitors more determined than ever to make up for lost time at the competition on the Gold Coast last month.
Wollongong City's Caitlin Jones and Charlotte Thompson rose to the challenge, returning home with medals, while the club's other athletes also shone.
Head coach Alison Crum said the success can be put down to the athletes' hard work throughout the sporting shutdown of 2020.
"The gymnasts had been biding their time for two years for the chance to compete nationally after COVID-19 forced the event to be cancelled in 2020," Crum said.
"The teenagers had to get creative at home during the height of the pandemic and tune into Zoom classes through their local Gym Club to keep up their skills and athleticism. These days they spend between 16-18 hours a week training, while staying on top of their studies and social outings."
Jones and Thompson progressed through a grueling selection process to qualify for the Australian Championships, the 15-year-olds eventually picked to represent NSW.
Jones excelled across multiple events, claiming gold in the Level 9 floor and team events, silver in the all-round and bronze on the vault.
Thompson returned home with a pair of silver medals, one in the team event. Brittney Wilson and Melanie Persinidis also represented Wollongong City, progressing through to finals at the championships.
NSW dominated at the titles, winning 125 gold medals in total.
