The Stingrays had started to hit a bit of momentum before football was suspended, so hopefully this break doesn't disrupt their rhythm. I think the break will do some teams good, while it may affect how other sides were travelling.
The key to the Rays is Michelle Carney, who has been there a long time and leads this year's NSW Women's NPL Golden Boot race. It's crucial when you've got a regular goal scorer, and it's an experienced one in that. She's been consistently doing it for many years and age hasn't slowed her down. She is crucial to their success.
For the Wolves, their last-start loss to Marconi was a difficult one after putting themselves back in finals contention. Hopefully this break has given players time to recoup and ready to get back into it. Most games will be like finals games because the Wolves need wins.
Like I said earlier, teams that were rolling along quite well might have their momentum disrupted by the lockdown. The Wolves will be hoping other teams don't come back in as good nick, and Luke Wilkshire's men can make up some ground in the next few rounds.
