Former NRL player Dylan Farrell won't return to the Group Seven field any time soon after he was stood down by the NSWRL on Saturday, citing an ongoing police investigation.

The 30-year-old Gerringong Lions forward, who spent time with both South Sydney and St George Illawarra during his time in the NRL, was immediately suspended for an indefinite period.
The matter will be subject to a NSWRL code of conduct review process at the conclusion of Farrell's court case.
"Dylan Farrell has been issued a breach notice by the NSWRL arising out of circumstances relating to charges issued by NSW Police this week," a NSWRL spokesperson said.
"Farrell has been suspended immediately from all rugby league activity, pending the outcome of court proceedings.
"Given the matter is before the courts and subject to a police investigation, the NSWRL will not be making any further public comment."
The investigation into the 90-game NRL veteran includes allegations of participating in a criminal group, taking part in cultivating prohibited plants, supplying prohibited drugs, hindering police discovering evidence, wilfully obstructing police and two counts of driving while suspended.
He has been granted strict bail conditions and is set to appear in Nowra Local Court on Monday, August 30 for these allegations.
In an unrelated incident, police have charged the Worrigee man with affray and he was granted bail and will next appear before Waverley Local Court on July 20.
Farrell is yet to enter pleas for all charges.
