Update: McDonald's Fairy Meadow has undergone a deep clean after a customer with a confirmed case of COVID-19 used the restaurant's drive-thru and restroom on the weekend.
Anyone who attended the Princes Highway fast food outlet on Saturday, July 10 between 9am and 10am is considered a casual contact and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
A McDonald's Australia spokesperson said the restaurant remained open for business.
"The health and safety of our people and our customers is our priority," the spokesperson said.
"In accordance with directions from the NSW Department of Health, we conducted a clean of the dining area and restroom. The restaurant was not required to close.
"McDonald's Australia uses high-grade cleaning products throughout the strict cleaning, quality control and hygiene procedures in every shift at each of our restaurants."
NSW Health would not give additional detail on the confirmed case who visited the restaurant, however the Mercury understands they were from outside the region.

A southwest Sydney woman in her 90s has also died. She was a close contact of a locally-acquired case and was deemed virus-positive on Saturday.
She is the first person to die since the Bondi cluster emerged on June 16, and the 57th person in NSW to die since the start of the pandemic in early 2020.
Residents are urged to check the NSW Government website regularly, as the list of venues of concern and relevant health advice are being updated as investigations continue.
Anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms is urged to immediately come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.
