Having already locked down star guard Tyler Harvey on a new three year deal, White adds another important piece, after averaging 7.4 points per game and shooting almost 40 per cent from outside in the final 10 games of the last campaign.
"Isaac got better and better as the season wore on," Hawks coach Brian Goorjian, currently preparing the Boomers for the Tokyo Olympics campaign, said.
"He's an elite shooter, he works hard in defence, and he showed great energy both on and off the court last season so I'm happy he's coming back and I look forward to helping him take his game to another level."
Co-owner Dorry Kordahi praised White's contribution to the club, which came out of liquidation to make the playoffs.
"Isaac grew into his role with the club last year and we are excited to have him rejoin the squad for the upcoming season," Kordahi said.
"He is another strong addition to our young group, he's a great Australian talent and we can't wait to see what he can produce in 2021-22."
Harvey and White will be jointed by Sam Froling, Emmett Naar, Akoldah Gak, Dan Grida and Max Darling on the Illawarra Hawks roster for 2021-22.
The rebuilt Hawks made the semi-finals before losing 2-1 in the series against Perth.
