The NSW Government has announced an increased presence of compliance inspectors from Saturday to ensure businesses are complying with COVID-19 Public Health Orders.

Inspectors will be checking businesses are doing their part to protect the community by wearing masks and enforcing the QR code check-in.
Regulation and Innovation minister Kevin Anderson said the NSW Government's priority is to keep communities safe and stop the spread of the virus.

It follows the Service NSW QR code and mask wearing requirements requirements being extended to include additional workplaces, such as construction, manufacturing and warehousing, supermarkets and retail.
Customer Service compliance inspectors from Liquor & Gaming, SafeWork NSW, Fair Trading and the Food Authoritywill be monitoring businesses in Sydney and regional areas including the Illawarra to make sure they are doing the right thing.
