A man has suffered severe burns after a unit block in Mangerton caught fire this afternoon, a Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said crews were called to the three-storey block of units on Johanson Crescent, Mangerton, shortly before 2pm.
When they arrived the block was well alight, and one man was unaccounted for. Twelve people were evacuated, and a crew entered the building to search for the man.
He has been taken to hospital; his condition is unknown.
Crews extinguished the blaze before 2.30pm. It is not yet known what started the fire. More details as they come to hand
