After overcoming New Zealand 2-1 in their opening game, Australia's attention will now turn to fellow international powerhouse Sweden in Tokyo.
Foord was among the Matildas standouts on Thursday night, and Wollongong Wolves technical director Jacob Timpano backs the experienced forward to shine against the world number 6.
"I think Caitlin was a constant threat throughout the game and caused problems for the Kiwis. Her combination with Sam Kerr is a big asset for the team. At the end of the day, she's playing for Arsenal, she's a world-class player and the Matildas are blessed to have her in the team," he said.
"She's found her place in the team, she's been in there for a long time and has a lot of experience for a young girl. And I think her move abroad to Arsenal has taken her game to the next level."
The Aussies will be up against an opponent which upset USA 3-0 in their opening clash. However, Timpano remains bullish about their chances on Saturday night.
"As we saw in the Olyroos game, especially in these types of competitions, we can match it with the best," Timpano said.
"The way the Matildas played, especially in the first half against New Zealand, if they take that same approach I think they can cause Sweden some problems.
''Although it will be a very challenging game I don't think they have got anything to fear."
