The changes come after news the ATAR will now be released on December 17 in line with changes to the NSW HSC.
As such UAC has pushed the deadline for changing preferences for December Round 2, when most offers are made to HSC students, to midnight Saturday, December 18.
December Round 2 offers will now be released at 7.30am on Wednesday, December 22. No other dates in 2021 have been changed and offers for Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS) will still be released on November 12.
"We're committed to providing as much certainty as we can for HSC students, especially those living under lockdown and dealing with remote learning now as well. We want them to know that they will still be able to get their results and offers this year," UAC's marketing and engagement general manager Kim Paino said.
As well as applying with their UAC application, students should also be considering applying through early offer schemes.
Ms Paino said eligible students should also apply for special consideration through the Educational Access Scheme, which includes if a parent or guardian has received JobKeeper or JobSeeker.
