Aldi and Coles at Warrawong Plaza were added to a growing list of venues overnight, as the Delta strain continues to spread.

Anyone who attended Aldi at Warrawong Plaza on Monday, August 2, from 5.35pm to 6pm is a casual contact and must get tested immediately, and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.

An Aldi spokesperson said they'd been advised by NSW Health of a customer who visited the store, who subsequently tested positive for COVID.

"While the risk of transmission to customers and team members is low, we have taken extra precautionary measures including an additional deep clean. Customers should be assured that they can continue to shop safely at our Warrawong store," the spokesperson said.

Anyone who attended the Coles supermarket at the Cowper St plaza on the same day, from 6pm to 6.30pm, must also get tested and isolate until they get a negative result.

A Coles spokesperson said the supermarket chain had been informed that a customer, who has tested positive for COVID, had attended its Warrawong store on Monday evening.

"In accordance with advice from NSW Health, all customers who were at the store during this time are asked to seek a COVID-19 test immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result," the spokesperson said.

"Additionally, NSW Health advises that if customers receive a negative test taken before August 7, they should wear a mask around others and limit their movement until receiving a second negative test result taken on August 7 or later.

"Coles' standard cleaning procedures comply with the Federal Government's COVID-19 Hygiene Practices For Supermarkets and frequent cleaning and sanitisation has occurred in the time since the customer was last on site."
