That somewhere was the small coastal town of Gerroa.
"It's got the best beach around for young kids because it's so safe, and our dogs enjoy the headlands," Ms Willdig, a prominent land developer in the Shoalhaven said.
"There's just so many beautiful aspects. It's this little gem that's just so beautiful.
"To entice him away, I had to deliver something Thirroul had and more, and Gerroa just met the brief."
In 2016, the couple bought 92 and 94 Crooked River Road, Gerroa for a total of $1.3 million.
No.92 consists of 1060 square metres of vacant residential land, while No.94 contains a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home on a 650 square metre block.
The home offers views stretching from Gerroa Headlands to Shoalhaven Heads to Culburra.
Ms Willdig father's, John Druce established Druce DP, a civil construction business in the Shoalhaven 40 years ago.
A decade ago, she established Tovedale, the land development arm of Druce DP.
The company's current projects include a major subdivision at Tapitallee.
Their past major developments include the 300-lot Twin Waters estate at South Nowra, and a 140-lot estate at Carrington Heights.
Ms Willdig said they hadn't spared any expense when undertaking major renovations, which took about nine months to complete.
"We took the roof off and did a whole new top level," she said.
"We also made a master bedroom, and extended and did a swim spa, which just has amazing views, and a deck."
Ms Willdig said they had intended to build "a two-bedroom home that I called a pool cabana, because it had a long lap pool off it" on the vacant block, but "plans changed and I never got to it".
The properties have been listed for sale separately, and are due to be auctioned on September 1.
No.92 has a price guide in the early $1 million mark, while No.94 has a guide in the high $2 million region.
Ms Willdig said they were selling due to personal reasons, and she would be sad to part with the property.
"Putting the final touches on it before we prepared the photos, I really had to take a moment," she said.
"Especially just standing there and looking at the view, I'm so proud of that property. It has just come together beautifully.
"When I decide to build again, I'm just going to copy and paste, because it just worked so well."
Selling agent, Neil Campbell from Ray White Gerringong said the property offered impressive views from every level.
He said Gerroa typically attracted Sydney buyers and expected this property to do the same, although a few local parties had also expressed interest.
