The Lake Illawarra talent is gearing up for her third W-League campaign when the 2021/22 season gets under way in November. After getting a taste of the league in her debut year, Matos went on to play 11 games in the red and black last season.

"I hope to keep my spot as the right fullback, left fullback, or whatever the position my new coach Kath (Cannuli) wants to put me in," Matos, 21, said.
"I like to have the spark, I like playing a wide position because I want to get forward as much as possible as well as holding a lockdown defender position.
"Kath is very positive about me going forward, so it's pretty easy to do that when your coach's mindset is like that. It's good for me."
